Xiaomi has many sub-brands such as Yi, Amazfit, Huami, Mijia, and so on. Each of them is specialized in certain niches. Today, one of them named ZMI announced the smallest powerbank of the company. The ZMI Power Bank Mini comes with a 3000mAh capacity and costs only 39.99 yuan ($6).
Xiaomi has half a dozen powerbanks launched under its own brand. The smallest of them comes with a capacity of 10.000mAh. Thanks to them Xiaomi has become the world’s first powerbank seller with 55 million shipped units. This number should be improved in 2017. But the powerbanks market has been growing fast. That’s why many manufacturers decided to come in with their own models. Say, Meizu launched the M series powerbanks with a stylish look and two-way fast charging. A few days back Huawei announced a 6700mAh battery along with the Enjoy 7S. Now it’s the turn of Xiaomi.
With the launch of the smallest and cheapest powerbank, the manufacturer wants to show it’s the leader in the niche. The ZMI Power Bank Mini really looks attractive and can be useful in many cases. It has a cylindrical design looking like a lipstick. The power bank measures 10.1 cm only. So you can put it with other accessories in your bag and forget about it till the time when your phone’s battery drainages completely.
There are two USB ports and a power button on the top. But the first interface is a micro USB, while the second one is a full-size USB 2.0. The power key also has a LED flash to display the current state. The standard Lithium-ion 3000mAh battery is supplied by LG. It supports output power of 5V/1A (5W). at last, unfortunately, it doesn’t support fast charge.
