A few days back one of Xiaomi’s sub-brands, Xiaoyi announced the special variant of its much-popular Yi M1 mirrorless camera dubbed as the Xiaomi Xiaoyi Yi M1 First Snow Limited Edition (aka simple, Xioayi Yi M1 Limited Edition). As you remember, the original model was out a year ago with two variants and in two color options. The one with a standard zoom kit was priced at 2199 yuan ($332), while the second one with the dual-lens kit was priced at 2999 yuan ($453). There were black and silver variants. The one announced recently comes with the features inherited from the second model, and it’s available only in white. And though there are only 1000 units available for purchase, we decided to come in with the real photos of this amazing camera and recall its key features.
The Xiaomi Xiaoyi Yi M1 First Snow Limited Edition is equipped with a Sony Exmor IMX269 sensor. This is a 20.16MP lens capable of taking photos at 5184 × 3888 pixels, but when to 50MP it can provide 8160 × 6120 pixel resolution shooting. Plus, this camera records 4K videos at 30 fps and 1080p videos at 60 fps. Actually, there are two lenses. The first one comes with a focal length of 12-40mm/maximum aperture of F3.5-5.6, while the second one sports a 42.5mm focal length and an aperture of f/1.8. The Xiaomi Xiaoyi Yi M1 First Snow Limited Edition is also compatible with Micro Four Thirds system (MFT or M4/3).
This camera also sports a 3.0-inch touchscreen, a built-in ISP image processor, and quad-core ARM CPU. It supports HDR, uncompressed RAW, EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization), distortion correction, Touch Tap AF and Face Detection (up to 32 faces).
Though the Xiaomi Xiaoyi Yi M1 First Snow Limited Edition comes with a smartphone-like UI, the photos can be easily transferred to your mobile phone via the app for the further use. At last, it comes with Bluetooth 4.1 and WiFi.
