OPPO R15 Ceramic Black Hands-on Photos

Last year, when the full-screen became a mainstream, OPPO launched its first model from this category named the R11s. A year after, in the same month, on March 19 the second-gen full-screen flagship in face of the OPPO R15 was announced. However, in comparison to the first model, this one comes with tones of innovations. Moreover, in terms of naming, OPPO has skipped the R13 and called it the R15. This is the best proof, the company has done too many enhancements in comparison to the previous model.

The appearance of the OPPO R15 adopts a more stylish double-sided glass design, which combines aesthetics with practicality in the combination of a high-bright metal middle frame. In addition, the back of the body uses a gradient treatment. Say, this variant of the OPPO R15 comes with a black and purple gradient rear panel made of glass. But the color shades will change depending on the light source angle.

In addition to the double-sided glass body, the ultra-wide field of view screen is also a major highlight. Compared to the previous 6-inch 18:9 ratio full-screen of the R11s, the OPPO R15 sports a larger 6.28-inch screen on the same size body. So the visual area is increased by 4.35%, while the screen ratio is increased to 90% as well.

As for hardware, the OPPO R15 is packed with the latest MediaTek Helio P60 AI chip, which is paired with a 6GB RAM, 128GB native storage, and a built-in 3450mAh capacity battery supporting VOOC flash charge technology.

The rest of features include a 20MP front-facing camera with a 3-HDR hardware real-time classification exposure technology that greatly enhances the self-portraits. This camera is capable of accurately collecting 296 face feature points and supports AI intelligent optimization. The main camera uses a 16+5MP sensors combination using a Sony IMX519 lens.

The OPPO R15 is priced at 2999 yuan ($473) (Snow white, Hot red, and Purple Star), the OPPO R15 Dream Mirror Version (Red Dream) at 3299 yuan ($520), the OPPO R15 Dream Mirror (Ceramic Black) at 3499 yuan ($552). This new phone will officially go on sale on April 1.
