Many laptop makers have already launched their own AMD Ryzen APU notebooks. But Lenovo is the first to come in with such a product aiming at the Chinese market. You know this is the largest market in the world, and the competition is very tough there. But if Lenovo has decided to focus on it, it means there is a really powerful product for this deal. Actually, there is. Meet the Lenovo IdeaPad 720S.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 720S is an ultra-thin notebook coming with an all-ceramic housing that passes through CNC drilling and Grand Seiko polishing. Thanks to it the IdeaPad 720S looks gorgeous. But what’s more important it’s very portable weighing only 1.1kg and coming with a 13.6mm thickness.
One of the selling points of this laptop is the 13.3-inch IPS screen providing a Full HD screen. It comes with a three micro-frame design. Apart from this, the rest of display features include a screen ratio of 81.7%, 100% sRGB color gamut coverage, viewing angle 178 °, and 300nit brightness.
The second selling point is the existence of the AMD Ryzen 7 2700U or AMD Ryzen 5 2500U processors. The former one uses a quad-core and an octa-thread architecture with a regular frequency of 2.2GHz and an acceleration frequency of 3.87GHz. The second chip runs at a frequency of 2.0-3.6GHz.
The rest of features include an 8GB DDR4-2400 RAM, 256GB PCI-E / NVMe SSD, 1.3mm keypad with a backlit keyboard, glass touch sensor (sensor density increased by 27%), fingerprint scanner (1 second) , 720p 3mm mini Camera, Dolby sound speakers, and 48Wh battery (battery life up to 8 hours).
They will go on sale on January 24 at a price tag of 4999 yuan ($780) and 5699 yuan ($890) for the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 variants, respectively.
