A couple of days back the Chinese smartphone market leader launched the next full-screen phone, which imitates the current flagship of the Huawei Mate 10. But unlike the latter, the Huawei Honor V10 comes with a lighter design and lower price tag. In this sense, if the Mate 10 and its larger variant, the Mate 10 Pro are considered as the toppest-end business class devices, the Honor V10 has been designed for younger customers. The phone has already gone on sale at a price tag of 2699 yuan ($408), which way lower than the same 4+64GB variant of the Mate 10 that costs 3899 yuan ($589). The rest variants are priced in the following way: the 6+64GB at 2999 yuan ($453) and the 6+128GB at 3499 yuan ($528). On the contrary, the 6+128GB variant of the Huawei Mate 10 is priced at 4499 yuan ($670). So those who want to get their hands on the cheaper variant of the Mate 10 should like this phone.
As for the appearance, the Huawei Honor V10 comes with a metal body at a thickness of 6.97mm. In comparison to the 5.5-inch Honor V9, this phone comes almost with the same size housing, but it sports a larger screen at 5.99 inches. The latter provides a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and aspect ratio of 18:9. The selling point of this device is the Kirin 970, the world’s first AI mobile chip. The battery capacity is 3750mAh.
Many ask whether the Huawei Honor V10 camera is identical to the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. But the truth is the Honor V10 looks like a cross between the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. The former one uses 16MP + 20MP sensors similar to the Mate 10, while the Mate 10 Pro comes with a 12MP + 20MP camera set. But the setup is different and the lenses are not Leica-branded on the Honor V10.
At last, there are up to four color options you can choose from – night dark magic, Aurora blue, beach gold, and charm red. As for now, we are offering to take a glance at the Huawei Honor V10 Aurora Blue Unboxing (image courtesy of PCPOP).
