In the era of full-screen smartphones, every company tries to come in with its own model with a bezel-less screen. This statement concerns not only the top brands but those that are not popular in the smartphone market at all. Agree Hisense has little chances to compete with the beasts such as Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus, and Xiaomi. But no one forbids this manufacturer to make full-screen handsets in a collaboration with China Telecom. Their cooperation brought a new device dubbed as the Hisense Haly. Probably no one would pay attention to this handset, as it’s been designed for Chinese market mainly. And most likely it won’t trip outside the country. But what’s interesting this smartphone looks like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. This statement refers not only to the appearance but the hardware as well. The Hisense Hali has gone on sale on Tmall. So we can get acquainted with its key features and compare them with Xiaomi’s upcoming model.
Surprisingly the Hisense Haly comes with a pretty nice design with rounded corners. The back is made of a glossy glass that uses a 2.5D arc technology for better ergonomics. But what’s surprising the same 2.5D arc glass is on the front as well. So those who have already bought this phone prove it’s a pleasure to hold it in hands and interact with it. At last, the Hali uses an aluminum alloy frame that means the durability is at the highest level.
As for the hardware, the Hisense Hali is packed with a 5.99-inch full-screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and HD+ resolution. Generally, the phone adopts a symmetrical design with narrow frames. It is equipped with a Snapdragon 430 chip paired with a 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The rest of features include a 16MP front camera with a great camera software including up to 10 beautify enhancements, voice capture, and smile detection. On the back, we can find a 12MP camera with a 1.25um sensor size, PDAF, color temperature flashlight, and 6P lens. The fingerprint scanner is placed under the camera. At last, the Hisense Hali is packed with a 3400mAh battery.
There are three color options to choose from – Exquisite Gold, Coral Blue, and Star Black. It’s priced at 1399 yuan ($210).
Undoubtedly, this handset has been designed for younger customers. The selfie-centric camera is the best proof of that. But let’s recall the rumored specs of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 to understand what commonalities are there between those handsets. The latter is said to come with an identical appearance (just check out the photo below) using a 5.7-inch HD+ full-screen design. As for the hardware, it sports a Snapdragon 435 chip, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. There is no hint at the camera features, but as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A sports a 16MP camera, there is every chance the original Redmi Note 5 will be packed with it as well. However, this phone is rumored to cost only 899 yuan ($135).
