Chuwi is going to monopolize the tablets market in 2018 again. In 2017, the company launched a few models for its Hi10 line. They all sell well and get a larger market share with every sold unit. But in September, at IFA, Chuwi showed a new product dubbed as the Chuwi Hi9. This model is going to become one of the best tablets made for gamers especially. That’s why it’s compared with the Teclast T8 that comes with identical features and price tag. We will manage to compare these handsets. As for now, we are going to get acquainted with the key features of the Hi9 and find out its key to success.
Both models come with the same Android 7.0 OS, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and 8.4-inch display with a 2560×1600 pixels resolution. This doesn’t mean the Chuwi Hi9, as well as the Teclast T8, are monsters. Moreover, they are packed with quite different chips. The Hi9 sports an MT8173, while the T8 features an MT8176. Both chips use a hexa-core architecture. The latter scores about 70K at AnTuTu, which makes us put it into the mid-range category.
When it comes to the camera performance, the Chuwi Hi9 yields a lot. It is packed with a 2MP front and 5MP rear camera modules. Its closest rival, the Teclast T8 sports an 8MP and 13MP camera sensors, respectively. And though camera lenses have never been decisive for tablets, it’s quite attractive to see a good camera on such a product.
At last, the selling point of this product is considered to be the screen. It is covered with a 2.5D arc glass. It also uses an OGS (One Glass Solution) technology made by JDI.
Thanks to the decent memory option, powerful processor, and a great display the Chuwi Hi9 is thought to be the best gift for those who like to play games on tablets.
